About the Artwork

I work with new immigrants to Canada and I am always inspired by their courage in coming to a new culture. It reminds me of my family that came here as well from a far off land. This work is composed of poured acrylic to depict the mystery of the new land, plus a figure done in oil paint showing the courage it takes to leap into that mystery. One hand gestures towards the future while the other arm reaches back, recalling the past. Jumping into the unknown future! POTE 2019
