About the Artwork

This still life project was painted "plein air" in Key West on my front porch. The blue cloth is a tea towel with a West Coast Haida design. The setup and easel were perched side by side on my porch railing. I worked on it over a series of mornings when I could count on the sunlight and shadows being consistent. This artwork was entirely painted from life using the sight-size technique.
