This work was inspired by a return visit to the Mourne Mountains ,Co. Down ,Northern Ireland . It is a very unique area rugged and picturesque. . The falls cascade over the granite rocks into deep ravines and creating swimming holes in their wake .Whin bushes and heather provide a colourful back drop and reflections of rhododendron shrubs are reflected in the eddies.. A wonderful scene to be captured by the plein air painter .
