About the Artwork
This work is one of a series of waterfalls created from sketches and pictures when working plein air in local mountain areas.I wanted to attempt to capture the movement and energy generated by falling water. I choose to paint in an abstracted expressionistic style rather than aiming to interpret the subject matter in a realistic manner when completing the painting in my home studio..
