Teenagers grow and change so much over a brief period. When my teen Marcel visited his older brother Jay in Sweden a lot of photos were sent to me. I saw him in many photographs but did not note any differences at the time. After he returned, I noticed how much he seemed to have grown physically and emotionally from the last time I saw him. In those short 3 weeks so much had changed.
I would see him periodically on video call and I received many photos of him over that span. But from all the photos from his trip, a photo taken of him by his brother caught my eye. The photo portrayed Marcel holding a piece of ice in front of his face.
It was when I saw him in person that the growth was evident. That is when I truly saw him. From all the photos I received that photo managed to capture that feeling.
