The repurposed Bank of Montreal building in Ashcroft, BC, is a quaint reminder not only of the passage of time, but also of economic shifts on a global scale. The simple ink drawing highlights the nostalgia of the old-fashioned building, while the gold leaf speaks to the wealth of the banking industry. At one time, a financial trail led toward this structure. Now, it is leading away to more distant places.
