April Bending, Fish on the Olde Wooden Mast

When sailing ships had only wooden masts sailors relied on metal plaques to mend the breaks when these masts snapped in the wind. These plaques were called "Fish". It amused me to put a fish on the "Fish"on the olde wooden mast.
This piece will not be included in the physical exhibition on Granville Island but meets the quality standards of the FCA and is classified as, "Recognized Artwork."
