Using recycled paper from old calendars, donated books and magazines from thrift stores and friends, I reassemble and glue down torn or cut paper to build new landscapes based on scenes in western North America. My images of our unique countryside are each a challenge and a labour of love, with a good deal of learning in the process.
This is my fourth year working in paper collage, after discovering my media of choice in 2015; somehow, the process of creating natural landscapes feeds the First Nations side of my heritage and thereby sustains my spirit.
