About the Artwork

Inspired during a warm fall day last year at Glenmore Park, Calgary, AB. It was a perfect day for rowing and I was all set up to start a plein air painting when this group appear very close to me. They were rowing and chatting, it looked like a perfect moment for them, and I thought I would recreate it using a photograph while remembering the moment.

It is an oil painting on canvas prepared with PVA glue and oil ground, varnished and framed with a floating black frame.
