Sue Daniel

West Vancouver, British Columbia

I love the fluidity and texture of oil paints and I mostly work wet on wet, where the surprises can be exciting and liberating. I like to work on large canvases without a specific picture in mind, and work with my process to see the art unfold.

"Art, for me, is a way of capturing the essence of my feelings and inspirations through fluid shapes, translucent and bold colors. I aspire to create art that is not anything recognizable, not contrived, not anything describable, an abstract construction that just makes you feel."
